Fahrenheit member Calvin Chen is following the example of Wu Chun by establishing his own clothing brand „WOW“ which is sold online. On the first release of T-shirts, female fans complained, “Size is too small for us. Do you also sell slimming (weight-loss) products?” Calvin Chen said yesterday that since this is his first time to be a business owner, he still has a lot to learn and needs to improve in the future.
Calvin Chen is the Fahrenheit member with the highest qualification. He received a master’s degree in Economics in Canada, and when he returned to Taiwan, is pursuing another degree in Public Finance at the National Chengchi University. He joined the army in August this year. He thought about opening his own business and with his friends, thought of selling T-shirts. He is personally involved in the designs. During the sale of the first 300 T-shirts online, within a month only 8 pieces remained.
Because it is his first business endeavor, Calvin Chen’s customers are also Fahrenheit fans. But in the opening sales, the female customers were dissatisfied and left the message, “We like the clothes very much, but we cannot wear them (clothes don’t fit). When you sell them next time, can you also sell slimming (weight loss) products for us?"
When the fans complained, Chen was very embarrassed. He picks up a XS-sized T-shirt and said, “Now we don’t sell these clothes. When we gave the original version to the manufacturer, we were assured that the shirt would fit. We did not expect them to make a really small size that only children can wear. This is my first time to set up a business, so I really have a lot to learn. This kind of problem will not happen again in the future."
He personally designed the T-shirt with 4 candles on 7’s, which is very in at the moment. All Fahrenheit members have one, and even those in the entertainment circle wanted to buy one.Talking about the design concept, Calvin Chen also said, “I really like the number 7, and this year I am 28 years old. The design has 4 7’s, which all add up to my age, so I call this a birthday T-shirt.” This unique design became sold out in a short span of less than 3 days
